As I reflect back upon the last couple months I spent in Uganda, I immediately think about those boys that I began to disciple. I feel as though I was able to accomplish the task God had set out for me in planning, leading, and implementing The Landing Celebrate Recovery group in Soroti. There is so much more that is needed in Uganda with substance abuse. This includes, further education to the street children and the affects jet fuel has on them, individual therapy with adults, prison and jail ministry/substance abuse education, community advocacy, and developing an in-patient drug and alcohol facility for the most vulnerable youth.
What is next? I have recently accepted a position in Battle Creek that will allow me to further enhance and expand my experience in the substance abuse field. One of the exciting opportunities is being able to get my supervision hours (400) in to wrap up my licensing as a CAADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor). I believe this profession will only help me to further help those struggling with substance abuse in Uganda and train others to as well.

Makes my heart so happy to see all that God is doing in Soroti, Uganda! Seeing God’s heart for those caught in addiction through your eyes is so amazing! Confidently believing that He will continue the work you started and that He will carry it on to completion with Pius, Fred, and Peace while you are here in the States! Praying for those sweet boys as I’m sure they are missing their Uncle Rocky very much! Super excited to meet sweet baby girl Wray soon! 💕
